The Life Skills Basic session is recommended to be a pre-requisite for other Human SystemicsTM programs. It introduces the mentee to the theory and practice of building will, then proceeds to a structured way of thinking about your time with the time manufacturing sheet, and finally introduces an effective way to staying motivated daily.  There is a test of the mentee's grasp of the material. This course comes bundled with a downloadable will-building and time-manufacturing tool and one hour of consultation with Life Skills practitioners, who can answer any questions, guide each person through the course, or offer suggestions if requested. It's a powerful start to scientifically finding out who you are and who you want to be.

The Will-Builder activity is designed to get to the heart of all human capacity or incapacity, the will to act or not to act. A later activity in ethics will describe the common ground of acting ethically as an outcome of will, fundamental to preventing conflict. Will is that which gets you out of bed in the morning, ready to take on the tasks of the day. The fuel for will comes from meaning and joy. Without will, there is no hope and no action, and depression, anxiety or other dysfunction inevitably ensues. The Will-Builder is designed to reflect back to each mentee their strength of each type of will, the strength of external pressures negatively impacting their will, and how and where to restore more will where needed.

Time management is the single greatest indicator of ability to achieve higher career objectives beyond minimum-wage jobs. Those who understand and use this time management exercise greatly increase the probability of a successful intrapreneurship or entrepreneurship career. Even parenting requires good time management, often in support of a spouse bringing home a paycheck, so looking at marriage as a partnership, it’s important for both partners in a relationship to have an equal commitment to this exercise.
